After a series of record-breaking monthly returns – both up and down – February saw a return to normality for global equities, with the MSCI All-Country World Index (ACWI) delivering a respectable 2.7% gain during this relatively quiet period. From a Canadian investors’ perspective, this means both the S&P/TSX and emerging markets (EM) equities have already more than made up for the heavy losses suffered in Q4 of last year, while the S&P 500 and MSCI EAFE appear close to bridging the gap.
